GITF 2020 – “Developing a Personal Relationship with God Through His Word”
Many born to faithful Christian parents first learn of God through the instruction and example of their father and mother. As they mature, the teaching of the church and the ministry also becomes influential. The God they know is the God they have heard of and, although they may have been taught very well about Him and His ways, many struggle to truly know Him.
The patriarch Job described this transition when he said, “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You.” Job 42:5
How do we make this same transition, from the way we learned of God as we grew up, to truly owning and developing our relationship with him as adults?
The United Church of God will host a “Growing in The Faith” event 2020 that will help young adults to develop a direct, personal relationship with God through His word. Our interactive seminars will address:
- A Real Relationship with God
- How Biblical Study Enables Spiritual Thinking
- The Heart of a Disciple of Jesus Christ
- Scripture as a Basis for Living
- Bible Tools and Bible Software
- Addressing Difficult Scriptures and Defending Your Faith
Join us over the weekend of Friday evening, January 17th through the morning of Monday the 20th at the Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch near Stewartville, Minnesota to strengthen your growing relationship with God through His word.
Facilitators: Dan Dowd, David Schreiber, Brian Shaw
